about
Marcelle Bradbeer is a Melbourne-based freelance photographer focusing on landscape photography. Bradbeer recently graduated from a Bachelor of Fine Art (Photography) at RMIT University. She was selected amongst ten emerging Melbourne artists to exhibit her work in the Clyde & Co Australia Art Project (2018) and invited to take part in The Hillvale Stitch-Up Machine group show at The Independent Photography Festival (2016). She was also selected to present her series 'The Divine Divide' in this years RMIT:ART:INTERSECT Lightscapes (2018) - an installation that showcases 'some of the most dynamic and impressive work from the graduating exhibitions' in light boxes within Melbourne Central.
Bradbeer focuses on capturing man-altered landscapes in rural environments. Her formalist approach depicts scenes of tranquility fractured by human destruction of natural surroundings. Bradbeer utilises a landscape's innate beauty to illustrate the relationship between humans and nature to further entice the viewer to engage with the work's narrative.
